I feel a deep sense of gratitude to Khalsa College Charitable Society for appointing me as a Principal of Khalsa College Chawinda Devi, Amritsar which is catering the education in rural areas specially to those students who cannot afford study in the city colleges. I am specially thankful to President S. Satayajit Singh ji Majithia and Honorary Secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Ji Chhina for trusting me and giving me an opportunity for serving this institution. No doubt it is matter of challenge to provide the quality education in rural areas due to social and economic problems but I think it is real service of humanity. I pray to Almighty to shower blessings upon me for wisdom, strength, courage and enlightment to tread the path for this noble cause of service in rural area. It is wisely stated that if you think yearly then you will sow annual crops, if more than 10 years then orchids but if for 100 years then educate your children. I think S. Bikramjit Singh Majithia Ji has established the institution in this rural area for coming generations due to his far sighted vision to provide education to students near their homes which will play a great role for upliftment of the youth.
My every effort is to set the good traditions and create educational conducive environment in the institution. As I belong to rural background, I know that rural youth have great potential, ability, strength, stamina and courage but they need consistent guidance and motivation for inculcating the skill to channelize their energy to excel in their life.
My highly learned and experienced faculty always put their best efforts not only to keep the students academically sound but also provide support to nurture their talents and achieve their ambitions. I also acknowledge their whole hearted supports. Various co-curricular activities are carried out throughout the session for the development of students.
My dreams are to keep up abreast with the latest knowledge to the students for preparing them to global challenges by introducing the new courses of B.Sc (Medical, Non-Medical, and Computer Science), B.A. Fashion Designing, M.A Punjabi, M.Com etc which are in pipe line for session 2016-17. The courses going on in the college are +1, +2 (Arts, Commerce, Science), B.A, B.Sc (Eco), B.C.A, B.Com, DCA, DST.
